Mystic and Hyperflex Wetsuits
Finally spring has arrived and we get ready to see our winter snow melt for good. The lakes are no longer frozen for our kiting so its kiteboarding season again. Here Pleasure Bay in Boston is starting its summer action and the local crew is at it again! So its time to loose the hoods, boots and gloves so that you can feel that board once again (New England Kiting). But this year should be different and you realize that its cold on a windy day at the beach and the are not all sunny. So we have the Mystic "Crossfire" for its top end kiteboarding suit and the "Star" as its suit that is right there giving you what you need. The Hyperflex suits are so very flexible and light the material is really great! These are the front zipper "AMP" suits.
If you have an older suit like one from 6 years ago wakeboarding know that new suits actually give you a reason to see the result of improvement. The suits flex better and you begin to feel more comfortable. They also have taped seams as neoprene does not allow water through as the tiny bubbles do not connect through the material. So the seams is where you would normally leak. The new suits you actually stay dry. So if you wanna take a leak in your new suit be ready to manually flush it. Think im kinding lol :-)
So that makes me bring up having some nifty ankle straps to keep the leg first plunges from driving cold water into your suit. They also allow water to pass back out of the leg if ever trapped through a special panel. Some suits are back zip and have a special panel that keeps water from flushing in the small of your back as you go in and out of the water. The other version is a front zip that then allows the back to seal around your body with suction and water is deflected too off the pull over.
But the taped seams and water management those allow you to wear less more flexible suits. Mystic is quick to offer a very flexible yet warm 5/3 (5-chest/3-arm/leg) as there go to size. The Hypeflex are 4/3 and then as we get warmer we can discuss lighter options such as Mystic and Hyperflex shorties, neoprene Rash gaurds, heat shirts, and Rash Gaurds too all in stock.
